Tito Karnavian Calls IPDN Graduation Key to Civil Service Regeneration

Indonesia's Ministry of Home Affairs chief Muhammad Tito Karnavian marked the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) graduation as a pivotal moment for renewing the civil service. The ceremony in Sumedang, West Java, saw 1,404 graduates receive degrees – 1,204 in the Applied Bachelor of Government Science, 73 in the Applied Master, 45 doctoral candidates, and 82 in the Professional Programme for Civil Administration.

Karnavian noted that from roughly 38,000–40,000 applicants only about 1,200 completed the rigorous four‑year program, and that the new graduates will be appointed as CPNS before being deployed across Indonesia's regions. He stressed the importance of integrity, discipline and a scientific mindset, urging the alumni to uphold these values throughout their careers as civil servants.
