Titsa enhances transport for Candelaria pilgrimage

Titsa is implementing a special public transport plan for the Candelaria pilgrimage on August 14 and 15 to accommodate an expected influx of over 100,000 pilgrims. The initiative includes adding 20,000 additional seats to the service to encourage public transport use over private vehicles.

Key service enhancements include reinforced frequencies for lines 120 and 122, alongside the introduction of two new shuttle services: shuttle 522 connecting La Laguna to Candelaria, and shuttle 529 running from Izaña to Candelaria via Arafo.

Due to the event, Titsa services in Candelaria will operate from Avenida de los Menceyes, near the old station, from 2:00 PM on Friday until 5:00 PM on Saturday. During this period, bus stops between Calle Bélgica and Plaza de Teror will be out of service. To support travelers, free parking will be available at interchange stations in Santa Cruz and La Laguna from 6:00 PM on Friday until 11:00 PM on Saturday, provided passengers show proof of travel on Titsa services.
