Tivat announces reconstruction of Austro-Hungarian water reservoirs

The Ministry of Public Works has issued a tender for the reconstruction of Austro-Hungarian water reservoirs located in the Great City Park in Tivat, Montenegro. The project, valued at approximately 1.15 million euros including VAT, aims to transform the 1899 underground complex into a multifunctional gallery and cultural space for exhibitions and public programs.

According to Tivat Mayor Željko Komnenović, the revitalization project began in 2022 following initiatives from local non-governmental organizations. The architectural design by Enforma studio focuses on preserving the original architectural characteristics while adapting the site for modern public use. The tender deadline for interested contractors is December 2, 2026.
