Tivat considers subsidies for after-school care
The Municipality of Tivat is considering allocating funds in next year's budget to subsidize after-school care for students in grades one through three. Mayor Željko Komnenović stated that this measure aims to support parents with working obligations by providing organized care for children after classes end.
This initiative follows existing subsidies for kindergarten attendance. Beyond educational support, the municipal administration is prioritizing several infrastructure and communal projects. These include the construction of a new city market featuring two underground garage levels, which would be fully funded by the municipality.
Additionally, the local government is working to establish a functional municipal transport system. This includes re-tendering for a new electric minibus through an IPA project to address current transportation needs that are not being met by existing services.
