Tivat hosts sixth international children's folklore festival

The sixth edition of the international children's folklore festival, ‘Kolo bez granica’, has officially opened in Tivat, Montenegro. Organized by the Cultural and Artistic Society ‘Boka’, the event runs from August 19 to August 23.

More than 300 children from Mexico, Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro are participating in the festival. The event includes ensembles such as DFA ‘Vallarta Azteca’ from Mexico, KUD ‘Šumadija’ from Serbia, and KUD ‘Stjepan Radić’ from Croatia, alongside approximately 150 members from the host organization, KUD ‘Boka’.

The festival commenced with a parade through the city center and a gala concert on the Pine waterfront. Beyond folklore performances, the program features workshops, social activities, and cultural excursions. Tivat Mayor Željko Komnenović highlighted the festival's role in enriching the local summer tourist season and fostering international friendships through cultural exchange.
