Tivat official opposes new regulations for Kalimanj marina
Igor Petković, an official of the European Union in the Tivat Municipal Assembly, has voiced strong opposition to a new draft regulation prepared by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. The proposed 'Regulation on the conditions and criteria for exercising the right to docking in the communal part of the port' is intended to govern the Kalimanj communal marina in Tivat.
Petković argues that the regulation will fundamentally alter the purpose of the Kalimanj marina, threatening the local way of life and Mediterranean traditions. He claims the new rules use unfair scoring methods that could displace small, recreational, and sports boat owners to make room for commercial interests and private businesses.
