TIVIT announces R$ 1 billion M&A plan and new AI leadership

TIVIT, a technology multinational controlled by the Italian Almaviva group, has announced a R$ 1 billion investment program focused on acquisitions across Latin America. The strategy aims to acquire software and hardware developers with annual revenues between R$ 20 million and R$ 200 million. The company is targeting six specific verticals: government (public security and defense), financial markets, transportation, manufacturing, health, and utilities, with a cross-cutting focus on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

To lead its AI initiatives, TIVIT has appointed Patrick Baudon as Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO). Baudon will also continue his role as CEO of Almawave Brasil, a group company specializing in data and AI.

In separate news, Totvs has completed the sale of its 80% stake in RJ Participações, a software company for the passenger transport sector. The transaction, conducted with Distribusion Tecnologia, was valued at approximately R$ 39 million. The deal was finalized at an implicit multiple exceeding 31 times EV/EBITDA for the last 12 months, concluding a divestment process the company had been conducting since 2025.
