Tivoli and Amatrice reinforce twinning bond through solidarity visit

A group of 40 residents from Tivoli visited Amatrice to reinforce the twinning relationship between the two communities. The initiative, organized by Flaminia Santarelli, aimed to demonstrate solidarity with the town that was devastated by the earthquake on August 24, 2016.

The visit included guided tours of the Floriana Svizzeretto museum, a restoration laboratory, and a local shopping center. The event focused on promoting cultural tourism and supporting the resilience of the Amatrice community. During the visit, Amatrice Mayor Giorgio Cortellesi received a letter from Tivoli Mayor Marco Innocenzi, marking a formal confirmation of the bond between the two towns.
