Tivoli Municipality to host inaugural padel tournament

The Municipality of Tivoli is organizing the first ‘Torneo di Padel Città di Tivoli’ as part of the ‘Back to sport’ initiative. The event is scheduled to take place from September 11 to September 13, 2026, in the area between Piazza Garibaldi and the Bleso Amphitheater, as part of the ‘Settembre Tiburtino 2026’ program.

A recent administrative correction clarified that while the assembly of structures will take three days, the tournament itself will span three weeks. The municipality is funding the rental of temporary sports structures, including two panoramic padel courts, high-generation playing mats, and LED lighting, from Deco Allestimenti Srl for approximately 19,764 euros. This expenditure is supported by a 20,000 euro contribution from the Lazio Regional Council.

The technical and sporting management of the event will be handled by Globo Padel Club Asd of Castel Madama. The club is responsible for covering all organizational costs through its own resources, sponsorships, or other contributions, ensuring no additional economic burden on the Municipality of Tivoli.
