Tiwa Savage surprises Seyi Shay with flowers

Nigerian singers Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay have demonstrated a growing friendship following a period of public tension. In a video circulating online, Savage surprised Shay at her studio with a bouquet of flowers, a gesture Shay acknowledged on social media by stating, “It’s really only girls that know what girls like and want.”

The two artists previously experienced a strained relationship, highlighted by a 2021 confrontation in Lagos and industry disagreements. Reconciliation efforts began appearing earlier in 2026, including a warm embrace at the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation graduation. Shay previously noted in an interview that she sought clarity regarding their past rift and was open to resolving their differences.
