Tiyo Ardianto and Dhana Baswara propose Archipelagic Thinking for Indonesia

Tiyo Ardianto, a philosophy student at Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Dhana Baswara, a public policy student at the University of Sussex, have introduced a new strategic concept called ‘Archipelagic Thinking’ to prepare Indonesia's youth for the ‘Indonesia Emas 2045’ vision.

Developed during discussions in Solo, the concept emphasizes that as an archipelagic nation, Indonesia requires policies tailored to the unique characteristics and diversity of each region rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. The duo aims to address current moral and ethical crises among elites by fostering a new generation of leaders.

To socialize this idea, they plan to conduct a national roadshow to engage with Millennials and Gen Z across various regions. The initiative will focus on listening to young people's perspectives on their local futures through formats such as open discussions, podcasts, and documentaries.
