TJ Harden chooses between Kentucky and Missouri for college football return
Former NFL running back TJ Harden is reportedly deciding between two SEC programs, Kentucky and Missouri, following a legal development regarding his collegiate eligibility. Harden, who previously played for UCLA and SMU before stints with the Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks, is among a group of athletes who received a temporary restraining order against the NCAA in Louisiana. This legal action allows the involved players to receive an extra year of eligibility and enter the transfer portal.
Kentucky is pursuing Harden to address depth issues and injuries in its backfield under new head coach Will Stein. Missouri is also a front-runner as the team seeks to bolster its roster following an offseason injury to star running back Ahmad Hardy. Harden recorded 787 rushing yards and nine touchdowns during his recent season with SMU.
