TJ Slavoj Boleráz reaches Slovnaft Cup round of 16

Fourth-division football club TJ Slavoj Boleráz has become the most successful amateur team in the current edition of the Slovnaft Cup. The club, representing a village of approximately 2,500 residents, reached the round of 16 after a competitive match against first-division side MFK Skalica.

Despite leading 1:0 at halftime following a header by Dušan Stano, Boleráz ultimately lost the match 1:3. The team narrowly missed a chance to extend their lead to 2:0 early in the second half, which captain Jakub Krčo noted could have changed the course of the game.

Boleráz is the only team from the fourth league or lower to reach this stage of the tournament this season. To reward the players for their performance during the autumn season, the club management has organized a winter training camp in Turkey.
