TJD-MA begins judging State Lawyers' Championship in new partnership
The Maranhão State Sports Justice Court (TJD-MA) has initiated a new technical and institutional cooperation with the Maranhão Bar Association (OAB/MA) and the CAAMA Assistance Fund. This partnership was marked by the court's first disciplinary session involving processes from the XVII State Lawyers' Society Championship (Taça Dr. Roque Macatrão).
The collaboration aims to enhance the independence, impartiality, and technical specialization of sports law judgments by separating the championship organizers from the judicial body responsible for infractions. This model does not replace the existing lawyers' tribunal but integrates it with the TJD-MA to share expertise and refine regulations.
In addition to the legal community's sports tournament, the TJD-MA session also addressed official cases from the Maranhão Football Federation, including matters involving the Sub-17, Women's, and Sub-13 categories.
