TJDFT takes lead of FOJUDF forum in Brazil's Federal District

The Tribunal de Justiça do Distrito Federal e dos Territórios (TJDFT) assumed coordination of the Fórum Permanente do Poder Judiciário de 1ª e 2ª instâncias no Distrito Federal (FOJUDF) after a unanimous election of Court President Jair Soares as the new coordinator. The hand‑over meeting was held on Friday, 31 July, at the Tribunal Regional do Trabalho da 10ª Região (TRT‑10) and was attended by representatives of the courts that compose the forum – TJDFT, TRT‑10, Tribunal Regional Eleitoral do Distrito Federal (TRE‑DF) and Tribunal Regional Federal da 1ª Região (TRF‑1).

During the session, participants discussed administrative matters, updated the composition of work groups and approved the launch of the institutional website fojudf.org, which was developed and is maintained by the TJDFT. FOJUDF, created on 11 April 2025, operates under an annual rotation of coordination among its magistrates. Final reports from three thematic groups were unanimously approved: “Judicial Recovery and Bankruptcy” coordinated by Judge João Henrique Zullo Castro; “Unified Auction and Asset Sharing” coordinated by Judge Caio Bruccoli; and the “Medical Expertise” group, whose reporting deadline was extended to allow further recommendations. Additional attendees included judges Arnoldo Camanho, Angelo Passareli, Jamil de Jesus Oliveira, José Leone Cordeiro Leite and auxiliary judges Eduardo Rosas, Marília Guedes and Pedro Yung‑Tay Neto.
