Tlajomulco begins 70 million peso road connection project

The municipal government of Tlajomulco has launched a 70 million peso project to construct a 1.7-kilometer road connection between Avenida López Mateos and Camino Real a Colima. The works involve the rehabilitation of Camino a La Coladera and 16 de Septiembre street, linking the communities of San Sebastián and San Agustín.

Mayor Gerardo Quirino Velázquez Chávez noted that the connection has been awaited by residents for over 50 years. The project aims to improve general mobility and distribute vehicular flow to reduce congestion on major access routes. The infrastructure improvements include the installation of hydraulic concrete, a renovated hydro-sanitary network, public lighting, sidewalks, road signage, and trees.

The project is expected to benefit more than 100,000 inhabitants and is projected to be completed in approximately four months.
