Chihuahua and Tlajomulco implement social and educational programs
In Chihuahua, the Municipal DIF has announced the distribution schedule for the Senior Citizen Food Program (PAAM) from August 17 to 21. The program currently supports over 7,000 elderly residents, providing food aid to supplement their nutrition. Beneficiaries must present their registration card and a valid official ID at designated community centers and CEDEFAM locations according to a specific weekly calendar.
Additionally, the Chihuahua Municipal Government is hosting various cultural and recreational activities throughout August to celebrate Youth Month, the Month of the Grandparents, and Indigenous Peoples. Events include photography courses, bazaars, and community gatherings at the Plaza de Armas and other local venues.
In Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, Mayor Gerardo Quirino Velázquez Chávez welcomed new students to the Centro Universitario de Tlajomulco (CUTlajo) of the University of Guadalajara. The official noted that the university is expected to grow significantly, with the potential to accommodate up to 16,000 students in the coming years.
