Tlalnepantla activates prevention protocols during 2026 National Drill
The municipality of Tlalnepantla, Mexico, activated prevention protocols during the 2026 National Drill (Simulacro Nacional). Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz reported that the exercise involved public buildings, hospitals, and more than 200 companies to strengthen the culture of prevention and institutional response capabilities.
Emergency services, including the Municipal Coordination of Civil Protection, Firefighters, and Risk Management, conducted monitoring, evacuation, and preventive accompaniment operations. Key participating sites included the Municipal Palace, the C4 Tlalnepantla Oriente, various health and social service offices, and several cultural centers. As part of the local risk hypothesis, emergency teams simulated a response to a gas leak at a company in San Juan Ixhuatepec to evaluate response times and inter-agency coordination.
