The government of Tlalnepantla has concluded the ‘Mujeres Contigo al Volante’ program, an initiative designed to promote autonomy, security, and mobility for local women. In coordination with the Government of the State of Mexico, the program provided free theoretical and practical driving training to participants.
During the closing ceremony, Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz and Rocío Pérez Cruz, Honorary President of the Municipal DIF System, presented driving licenses to the graduates. The initiative aims to facilitate daily tasks, particularly for women responsible for caregiving duties, and to support their integration into the labor market and economic independence.
Due to high community interest, the municipal administration announced that a second generation of the program will be launched next year. Future plans also include reinforcement stages for participants to strengthen their driving skills and promote responsible road culture.
