Tlaxcala authorities monitor heavy rains and localized flooding
The State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) in Tlaxcala is maintaining constant communication with all 60 municipalities to monitor heavy rainfall. While authorities report no major incidents or casualties, some localized flooding occurred in the community of Acuitlapilco due to drainage collapse, requiring intervention from the fire department.
The National Water Commission (CONAGUA) stated there is currently no risk of the Zahuapan River overflowing, though levels are being monitored closely. Forecasts for Monday, October 12, predict continued showers with accumulations between 5 and 25 millimeters. Authorities advise citizens to avoid crossing flooded streets and to keep drainage systems clear of debris.
