Tlaxcala bullfighting activities attract over 61,000 participants

The Instituto Tlaxcalteca de Desarrollo Taurino (ITDT) reported that between January and August of this year, Tlaxcala hosted 34 bullfighting events, including bullfights, festivals, and novilladas, attracting 59,370 attendees. When including photographic exhibitions and conferences, the total number of activities reached 52 with 61,110 total participants.

José Luis Angelino Arriaga, head of the ITDT, noted that the sector is receiving significant support from Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros. He stated that attracting recognized bullfighting figures has increased tourism, generating economic benefits for local hotels, restaurants, and businesses, while creating direct and indirect employment.

September is expected to be a high-activity month for the region. Scheduled events include the second edition of the Copa Pana on September 12, the 60th anniversary of the De Haro ranch on September 18, and the Terrenate Fair bullfight on September 13.
