Tlaxcala City Council promotes pet welfare and vaccination campaigns

The Tlaxcala City Council has called on pet owners to practice responsible ownership and prepare for upcoming free vaccination and deworming campaigns. This initiative follows a successful collaborative effort between the municipal Animal Welfare area and the State Health Secretariat (SESA) Zoonosis Coordination.

During the most recent campaign, authorities performed 705 sterilizations of dogs and cats and administered 809 rabies vaccines. The program, which began under former mayor Alfonso Sánchez García, continues under the administration of Carlos López Suárez to manage pet populations ethically and reduce sanitary risks.
