Tlaxcala modernizes CORACYT public media system
The government of Tlaxcala has initiated a modernization process for its public media system, the Coordination of Radio, Cinema, and Television (CORACYT). The administration led by Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros has allocated approximately 57 million pesos toward the recovery and technological upgrading of state media.
A recent phase of this investment, totaling over 7 million pesos, included the delivery of seven new vehicles—specifically a March, two V-Drives, two Versas, an X-Trail, and an Urvan—to replace a fleet that had not been renewed in over 15 years.
In addition to transportation, the upgrade includes professional 4K video cameras for CORACYT Noticias and Tlaxcala Televisión, DSLR cameras, and studio-to-plant link systems for Radio Calpulalpan, Radio Tlaxcala, and Radio Altiplano. The initiative also covers the renewal of transmitters, facilities, and digital television technology to improve operational capacity and coverage.
