Mexico implements new command centers to search for missing persons

Several Mexican states are launching specialized command centers to coordinate the search for missing persons. In Guanajuato, Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo announced the start of operations for a State Command Center. This facility will utilize advanced technology to enable real-time searches and facilitate coordination between municipal, state, and federal authorities, including the activation of AMBER and Alba protocols.

In the State of Mexico, the government is establishing a State Command Center in Toluca. This initiative, part of a national strategy, includes the creation of a Human Identification Center and specialized search teams for bodies of water. The center will operate 24/7, utilizing C5 technology such as video surveillance and license plate readers to accelerate investigations.

Additionally, the Attorney General's Office in Nuevo León has launched a digital microsite to help families identify deceased individuals. The platform features information on unidentified persons whose identities were confirmed through fingerprint matching with electoral records, aiming to facilitate the dignified restitution of remains.
