T-Boz hospitalized following sickle cell crisis

Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins, a member of the R&B group TLC, has been hospitalized following a sickle cell crisis. The medical emergency has forced the 56-year-old singer to step away from the ‘It’s Iconic’ tour.

Her bandmate, Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas, has continued to perform the tour dates solo, supported by fellow acts Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue. Watkins’ representative confirmed that she is currently recovering and regaining her strength. Due to the interactive nature of the tour, organizers decided to proceed with the remaining scheduled performances rather than canceling.

Watkins has lived with sickle cell disease since childhood and has been vocal about her health struggles throughout her career. The news prompted emotional responses from the music community, including Jodeci singer Mr. Dalvin, who asked fans to offer prayers for her speedy recovery.
