TleafGreen Burmese restaurant to open in Mountain View

TleafGreen, a fast-casual Burmese restaurant, is scheduled to open in downtown Mountain View in December or January. The establishment will occupy the former space of Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria on Castro Street.

Developed by the team behind several full-service Burmese restaurants, the concept aims to provide a more affordable dining option. According to partner John Luo, the fast-casual model allows the menu to be priced 20% to 30% lower than traditional sit-down establishments while maintaining quality. The menu features Southeast Asian salads, such as their signature tea leaf salad, and hot dishes like mint jalapeno chicken. Additionally, all meat served at the restaurant is halal.

TleafGreen follows a previous opening in San Jose earlier this year. While the partners intended to debut the concept in Mountain View first, city planning processes caused delays.
