Túlio Gadêlha defends family ties with Fátima Bernardes and William Bonner

Brazilian Federal Deputy Túlio Gadêlha has publicly addressed social media provocations regarding his relationship with Fátima Bernardes and her ex-husband, journalist William Bonner.

The controversy arose after images circulated of Bernardes and Bonner appearing together during the recording of the videocast ‘Cá Entre Nós’, which Bernardes hosts with her daughter, Beatriz Bonemer. Gadêlha stated that political opponents had been using the image to provoke him during his Senate campaign.

In response, Gadêlha emphasized the unity of his family, defining Bernardes as his wife, Bonemer as his stepdaughter, and Bonner as the father of his stepdaughter. He noted that while they do not share blood ties, he considers Bonner part of his family and chooses friendship and happiness over the division attempted by his critics.
