Tüm Bel-Sen Van Branch Holds 9th Ordinary General Assembly

The Tüm Bel-Sen Van branch conducted its 9th Ordinary General Assembly at the Tuşba Municipality Council Hall. The meeting, attended by political representatives, union leaders, and members, focused on determining the new management and evaluating future struggle strategies.

Tüm Bel-Sen Van Co-Chair Rojbin Fırat addressed the assembly, stating that general assemblies serve as vital spaces for self-criticism and renewal. Fırat highlighted concerns regarding the rights of public employees, noting that poverty and job insecurity are deepening due to various legislative changes.

Fırat also criticized the appointment of trustees to municipalities, describing the practice as an interference with the will of the people. Additionally, she called for legal guarantees for peace processes, the release of political detainees, the reinstatement of dismissed public employees, and constitutional protection for the Kurdish language.
