TMT Motors tests Nano S05 electric microcar in Vietnam

The Nano S05, an ultra-compact electric microcar, has recently been seen undergoing test runs at the TMT Motors factory in Hung Yen province, Vietnam. The vehicle is positioned as one of the most affordable electric cars on the market, with an expected starting price of approximately 148 million VND.

Designed primarily for short-distance urban travel, the Nano S05 features a two-seat configuration and a minimalist interior. It includes a 5-inch information screen for displaying speed, battery capacity, and driving modes, but lacks an entertainment system. The car's dimensions are 2,280 mm in length, 1,290 mm in width, and 1,590 mm in height, making it smaller than the VinFast VF 3.

While the vehicle is reportedly ready for commercialization, TMT Motors has not confirmed a specific launch date due to adjustments in business planning. Although previous estimates suggested a release in late 2024 or 2025, the company is currently focusing on other models, such as the Wuling Bingo and 7-seater electric vehicles, though the Nano S05 remains part of their distribution plans.
