At Slammiversary 2026, held on June 28 at Boston's Agganis Arena, Nic Nemeth reclaimed the TNA World Championship by defeating reigning champion Mike Santana. Nemeth cashed in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy, using it to bust open Santana before securing the pin with a Danger Zone.

The event also featured several announcements. TNA introduced a new Knockouts Television Championship, unveiling a 16‑woman tournament to crown its inaugural holder. Hall of Fame inductees for the 2026 class were revealed, including Konnan, Amazing Red and ODB. Additionally, TNA confirmed its expanded 2026 pay‑per‑view calendar: Destination X will return on November 15 in Edmonton, Canada; Lockdown is set for August 23 in Chicago, Illinois; and Bound for Glory will take place on October 11 in Tampa, Florida.

Other matches on the card included an Ultimate X contest for the X Division title, a Knockouts World Tag Team Championship defense, and numerous other title bouts, underscoring a full slate of six championships contested during the show.
