TNI prepares for 81st anniversary celebrations

The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) will celebrate its 81st anniversary on October 5, 2026. This year's commemoration is described as a simple ceremony held at the TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, due to many personnel being deployed for disaster relief efforts.

The theme for the 81st anniversary is “TNI Kuat Bersama Rakyat, Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil dan Makmur” (Strong TNI Together with the People, Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia). The official logo features the number 81 and the word “PRIMA” alongside symbols of all TNI units.

In preparation for the anniversary, Major General Rudi Saladin, Commander of the V/Brawijaya Regional Military Command, led a group pilgrimage to the tomb of Sukarno (Bung Karno) in Blitar. The ceremony included high-ranking military officials and regional leaders, serving as a tradition to honor the nation's founding father and reinforce nationalist values.
