Vietnamese General Secretary and State President To Lam attended the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, where he delivered a speech outlining four major strategic directions for the nation.

During a press conference at the UN, spokesperson Stephane Djarric noted that the high-intensity diplomatic period included significant bilateral meetings and discussions regarding artificial intelligence, climate change, and the situation in the Middle East. Djarric highlighted ongoing challenges for the organization, specifically regarding its ability to fulfill its responsibilities and ensuring member states uphold their commitments to the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
