To Lam calls for modernization of Hanoi Armed Forces

To Lam, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the State, has called for the modernization of the Hanoi Armed Forces. Speaking at a commemoration for the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Hanoi Armed Forces, he emphasized the need to build agile, efficient, and strong military units.

To Lam stressed that political strengthening must serve as the foundation for enhancing operational capacity and combat readiness. He urged the forces to maintain a deep understanding of Party guidelines regarding national development and the strengthening of the military in a new era. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of the forces providing effective advisory services to the Hanoi Party Committee and People's Committee regarding national defense and the protection of the capital.
