To Lam chairs meeting on national talent development strategy

General Secretary and President To Lam chaired a working session in Hanoi on August 24 regarding the National Strategy for attracting, utilizing, and developing talent in key and strategic sectors. The strategy aims to support Vietnam's rapid and sustainable development in a new era.

The initiative emphasizes mobilizing global Vietnamese intellect and creating appropriate working environments. Key components of the new approach include empowering experts to choose collaborators, implementing product-based budgeting, and accepting scientific risks.

During the session, President To Lam highlighted the contributions of Professor Tran Thanh Van, noting his work in attracting world-renowned scientists to Vietnam through the ‘Meeting Vietnam’ forum and the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education in Quy Nhon.
