Toba economic potential targeted for global market expansion

Husein Fadlulloh, Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament's Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Body (BKSAP), has identified Toba Regency in North Sumatra as a significant driver for Indonesia's global economic growth. During the ‘BKSAP Day’ event in Toba, Fadlulloh emphasized the need to optimize the region's tourism and local economic potential to allow local businesses and the younger generation to access international markets.

Fadlulloh stated that BKSAP intends to act as a catalyst by utilizing its foreign diplomacy functions and global networks to bridge local needs with relevant international partners. To ensure targeted development, BKSAP is working with the Toba Regent and local government officials to map specific regional potentials. These findings will be presented in relevant international forums to facilitate global cooperation. The region is noted for its status within the UNESCO Global Geopark framework.
