Tobacco Chamber of Jujuy renews authorities

The Tobacco Chamber of Jujuy held its Ordinary General Assembly to renew one-third of its board of directors. The officialist list, Azul y Blanca, won the election, consolidating Pedro Pascuttini’s leadership. Following the results, Pascuttini called for unity among all producers, regardless of size, to strengthen the sector’s ability to defend its interests.

Prior to the vote, the opposition Lista Violeta, led by secretary candidate Miguel Ángel Yebara, criticized the current administration. Yebara challenged Pascuttini’s long-standing leadership, which he claimed has lasted over 20 years, and called for greater transparency, better information sharing, and more active representation of producers facing a critical economic situation in the sector.
