Tobías Martínez wins Desafío de las Estrellas in San Juan

Tobías Martínez, driving a Chevrolet Camaro for the RUS Med Team, claimed victory in the Desafío de las Estrellas at the El Villicum circuit in San Juan. Starting from 31st on the grid after a draw and penalties to other drivers, Martínez staged a dramatic comeback with a single pit stop to secure his second career win in Turismo Carretera and the first triumph for the RUS Med Team as an independent outfit.

Juan Pablo Gianini (Ford Mustang) and Germán Todino (Ford Mustang) completed the podium, while Jonatan Castellano (Dodge Challenger) retained the championship lead. Both Martínez and Gianini are under investigation for possible infractions during the race. The event also featured a fire on Mauricio Lambiris' Ford Mustang during a fuel‑refill, which was quickly contained with no injuries. The next round of the championship is scheduled for 22‑23 August at the Autódromo Ciudad de Paraná.
