Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer finalize divorce

Actor Tobey Maguire and jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer have officially finalized their divorce, nearly a decade after their initial separation in 2016. According to court documents filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, the parties were legally declared single on September 21, 2026, with the judgment of dissolution processed on October 1.

The legal process utilized bifurcation, a method that separates the termination of the marital status from other unresolved legal and financial issues. To manage any remaining disagreements, the former couple has agreed to appoint a private judge to oversee the finalization of a broader settlement.

Maguire and Meyer married in September 2007 in Hawaii and have two children, Ruby and Otis. Despite their separation, the pair has maintained a close relationship, with Meyer previously describing Maguire as her “best friend” and a dedicated father. Meyer is currently engaged to music executive Geoffrey Ogunlesi.
