Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer reach agreement to dissolve marriage

Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer have reached a key agreement to dissolve their marriage, marking a significant milestone in a divorce process that has spanned nearly five years. The agreement, which requires approval from a judge, would allow both parties to be legally recognized as single once finalized.

While the agreement addresses their marital status, several matters remain unresolved. The former couple must still settle the division of assets and other financial issues. They have agreed to utilize a private judge to resolve any disputes that may arise during this remaining process.

Maguire and Meyer originally announced their separation in 2016 after nine years of marriage. Jennifer Meyer filed for divorce in October 2020. Regarding their children, Maguire previously sought joint legal and physical custody of their 16-year-old son, Otis, and requested private mediation for child and spousal support, noting the existence of a prenuptial agreement. Their daughter, Ruby, is now an adult, meaning custody issues regarding her are no longer part of the proceedings.
