Deltarune Chapter 6 Toby Fox 2027 release standalone update

Game creator Toby Fox announced in the Summer 2026 Deltarune newsletter that Chapter 6 will be released as a standalone update in 2027. The chapter will be shorter than Chapter 5 and will focus on a specific part of the story, moving away from the lighter, self‑contained adventures of earlier chapters.

Development is progressing steadily; Fox said a playable rough draft of Chapter 6 is expected soon, with remaining work centered on the boss encounter and cutscene polish. Chapter 7 will follow, completing the final act of the game. Merchandise for Chapter 5 has been released by Fangamer, but Fox does not anticipate comparable merchandise volumes for the upcoming chapters.
