Toby Greene's future uncertain at GWS Giants
Greater Western Sydney Giants coach Adam Kingsley has expressed hope that club captain Toby Greene will re-sign, though he conceded that Sunday’s match against West Coast could be Greene’s final home game for the club. Greene, a foundation star, is reportedly considering a move to Geelong to finish his career in his home state of Victoria. While the Giants have reportedly offered a deal worth approximately $2 million per season, Greene is expected to make a final decision after the season concludes.
The club is also facing potential roster changes regarding veteran forward Jesse Hogan, who has drawn interest from Collingwood and Gold Coast. In contrast, the Giants have secured the future of young forward Max Gruzewski, who re-signed through the end of 2028.
On the field, the Giants are fighting for a slim chance to qualify for the wildcard round. Currently sitting in 12th place, the team must win their remaining games and rely on specific results from other clubs to secure a top-10 finish.
