Tocantins Court suspends judicial proceedings due to suspected cyberattack
The Court of Justice of Tocantins (TJTO) has suspended judicial deadlines and court operations for eight days following the detection of atypical activities in its technological infrastructure. The incident, suspected to be a cyberattack, has compromised access to the Electronic Process System (eproc).
The suspension affects judicial services across both first and second-degree jurisdictions in the state. While urgent cases are being handled through an on-call system, the unavailability of the eproc system has also impacted the Public Defender's Office of Tocantins, forcing the institution to readjust its activities.
The Brazilian Bar Association in Tocantins (OAB-TO) has announced plans to appeal to the National Council of Justice (CNJ) to seek measures that ensure system stabilization and the continuity of judicial services. As of now, the occurrence is being treated as a possible cyber incident, though a formal hacker attack has not been confirmed.
