Tocantins educator Olívia Amaral dies in car accident

Educator Olívia Aparecida Amaral Silva died at age 52 following a serious traffic accident in southern Tocantins. The incident occurred on the TO-070 highway between Formoso do Araguaia and Dueré, near the bridge over the Xavante River, when the vehicle she was traveling in left the road and overturned.

Olívia was accompanied by her husband, Renato Jayme da Silva, a former State Secretary of Health and former president of the Naturatins Institute, and their son. While Olívia died at the scene, Renato was transported to the Regional Hospital of Gurupi in serious condition, and their son was reported to be in stable condition.

Olívia was a prominent figure in the education sector, serving as the academic director at IB Consulting and having previously worked at Ulbra Palmas. Authorities are investigating the exact circumstances that caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.
