Tocantins Gov. Candidate Dorinha Campaigns on Tourism and State Development
Senator and pre‑candidate for governor of Tocantins, Professor Dorinha (União Brasil), told a gathering of senior state officials that the state needs a "serious, committed, advancing and continuous" government focused on delivering concrete results for the population. Speaking in Palmas alongside Governor Wanderlei Barbosa, she emphasized that politics must serve as a tool to improve people's lives and urged continuity of development programs.
The following day Dorinha visited Praia da Raposa in the municipality of Tupiratins, where she met merchants, family farmers and tourists. She highlighted tourism as a key driver of jobs and income, noting recent allocations of R$ 3.785 681 for urban infrastructure, health, education and security, including a R$ 300 000 fund for the 2026 beach season. Dorinha said investing in tourism "generates opportunities for leisure, culture and work" for local residents.
