Tochigi Central Park Offers Mist Zone and Summer Plant Exhibits

Amid unusually high summer temperatures, Tochigi Central Park has installed a mist zone near the Green Consultation Center to help visitors stay cool. The park encourages families to use the free facility, stay in the shade, and hydrate to avoid heat‑stroke.

The park continues to display a lotus exhibit organized by the Tochigi Prefectural Museum of History and Folklore, running through August 9. Other blooming plants include Takasago lilies, rock garden asters, and various azaleas and camellias. On the following day, the museum’s director, Mr. Yamazaki, will lead a free “Summer Park and Wildlife Observation” lecture from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., inviting the public to learn about the park’s flora and fauna.
