Tochigi children participate in summer activities

Children across Tochigi Prefecture are participating in various seasonal activities to make the most of their summer vacation.

In Nakagawa Town, the ‘Nakagawa Ayu Catching 2026’ event took place on August 11 at the Nakagawa right bank riverbed. More than 2,000 participants, including many parents and children, enjoyed interacting with fish in tanks and mini-pools, specifically participating in catching sweetfish (ayu) in the river.
