Toco Toucan captured on highway camera in Campinas
A Toco Toucan captured an unusual moment on a highway monitoring camera in the Campinas region of Brazil. On Friday morning, the bird perched directly in front of a Motiva Autoban camera at kilometer 1 of the Adalberto Panzan Highway, near the junction with the Anhanguera Highway.
The bird remained in front of the lens for over 12 minutes, appearing to preen its feathers, open its beak, and observe its own reflection in the equipment. While wildlife sightings such as hawks, parrots, and vultures are common on the concessionaire's 110 monitoring devices across the Anhanguera-Bandeirantes System, this specific interaction stood out as a notable natural spectacle.
