Toda Stadium hosts final Tokyo Yakult Swallows game before relocation

The Tokyo Yakult Swallows' second-tier team played its final official game at Toda Stadium on September 23, which ended in a rain-shortened call during the third inning. Despite the weather, the stadium's 350-seat capacity was filled, and approximately 500 fans gathered on the nearby embankment to witness the conclusion of the era.

The game against Hayate saw the Swallows score 13 runs before the rain forced a stoppage. Yakult's second-team manager, Noriyuki Shiroishi, addressed the crowd, noting that while a victory would have been ideal, the day would remain memorable for the fans.

The team's second-tier facilities, including the stadium and player dormitories, are scheduled to relocate to the newly constructing ‘Swallows Wings Square’ in Moriya, Ibaraki Prefecture, starting next season.
