Todd Lavon Walker identified in Claiborne County death investigation

The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man found deceased on Grand Gulf Road on August 24 as 60-year-old Todd Lavon Walker of Magee.

Deputies responded to the scene just before 6:00 a.m. after receiving reports of an individual lying in a ditch. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation was called to assist with the inquiry. Sheriff Edward Goods stated that, at this time, no foul play is suspected in Walker's death.

At the request of the family, authorities released a photograph of Walker to allow the community to remember him as he was in life. The Sheriff’s Office extended condolences to his family and friends.
