Todd Tucker opens up about mental health struggles during divorce
Todd Tucker, producer and ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ alum, has opened up about the mental health struggles he faced following his divorce from Kandi Burruss. In interviews with Page Six, Tucker described the period after their separation as “dark” and “lonely,” noting that he spent significant time alone in a guesthouse while his family lived nearby.
Tucker revealed that during his lowest moments, he experienced suicidal ideations and admitted, “I looked at my gun.” He stated that he was eventually pulled back by the thought of his children and his responsibilities as a father. He is now focusing on rebuilding his life through faith, church, and plans to seek therapy.
As part of his upcoming docuseries, ‘Til Divorce Do Us Part,’ Tucker is sharing his perspective on the split and his complex relationship with Kandi’s mother, Joyce Jones. He described a sense of relief in no longer having the tension with Jones, stating it felt like “a weight lifted off his shoulders.”
